Samreen has over seven years of experience in performing various adult and paediatric neurophysiological studies. After completion of her educational qualifications, Ms. Samreen Rafiq underwent 2 years post graduate work-based training in Clinical Neurophysiology in Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, Pakistan from 2013 to 2015. Soon after completing her training, Samreen employed as a Neurophysiology Technologist in Aga Khan University Hospital. During this time her job roles and responsibilities includes conduction and preliminary review of routine and sleep deprived Electroencephalograms, Sedation induced EEG and ABR, Nerve Conduction Studies including Carpal Tunnel, Peripheral Neuropathy, Repetitive Nerve Stimulation, Evoked potentials which includes Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR), Flash and Checked Pattern Visual evoked potential, (VEP) Polysomnograms, Multiple Sleep Latency Test and Intra-Operative Monitoring. She was associated with teaching and training of neurophysiology student/trainees, also participated in quality assurance and development programmes and responsible for stock ordering and supplies in Neurophysiology Laboratory in Aga Khan University Hospital.

Ms Rafiq, previously worked as a Paediatric Electro Neurodiagnostic Technologist at Neuropedia Children Neuroscience Centre, in Dubai, from 2018-2020. Currently she is working as a Highly Specialised Clinical Physiologist (Neurophysiology) at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, at Northern Lincolnshore and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Grimsby.

Ms Rafiq is Specialist Neurophysiologist proficient in PTNS (Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation) for bladder conditions. This is non-invasive treatment for overactive, neuropathic bladder conditions and bladder incontinence.
